Privacy Policy

Effective: August 16, 2026

Chameleon GO is a companion app for Chameleon Ultra and Chameleon Lite devices. The app does not require an account and does not include advertising, analytics, tracking, or developer-operated telemetry.

Data stored on your device

Cards, dumps, recovered keys, key dictionaries, key history, app settings, and purchase entitlement state are stored locally on your device. Chameleon GO does not upload this data to the developer. You can export or share card data only when you explicitly choose an export, share, or QR-sharing action.

Bluetooth and camera access

Bluetooth is used to communicate with a nearby Chameleon device. Camera access is used only to scan Chameleon GO card-sharing QR codes. QR frames are processed on-device and are not uploaded by Chameleon GO.

Network access

When you explicitly download a public MIFARE key dictionary, Chameleon GO makes a direct HTTPS request to the selected GitHub-hosted source. GitHub may receive standard connection information, such as your IP address, under its own privacy policy. Chameleon GO does not attach card data, recovered keys, or a user account identifier to those requests.

In-app purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Chameleon GO receives only the verified purchase entitlement needed to manage eight device slots; the developer does not receive or store your payment-card details.

If you installed Chameleon GO from an ad, iOS — not the app — may send Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork postback to the ad network: an anonymous campaign value only, no user or device identifiers. Chameleon GO has no ad SDK, creates no advertising identifier, and never sees this data.

Cloudflare hosts this website. The app itself does not connect to Cloudflare. Standard Cloudflare web request logs (IP, user-agent, timestamp) apply to visitors of this site, retained per Cloudflare's policy.

Data collection and tracking

The developer does not collect data from Chameleon GO and does not use app data to track you across apps or websites.

Children

Chameleon GO collects no personal information from anyone, including children, so there is no children's data to manage under COPPA or similar laws.

Removing your data

You can remove saved cards, downloaded dictionaries, and key history from within the app. Deleting Chameleon GO removes its remaining local app data, subject to normal iCloud or device-backup behavior controlled by Apple and your device settings.
